CK Trials seeks an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join our defense litigation team. We are a fast-paced firm handling complex matters and look for a proactive professional thriving in collaborative deadline-driven environment. This hands-on role offers exposure to all litigation phases and ownership of cases from inception through trial.
What You'll Do10
- 1Support attorneys through all litigation phases
- 2Draft revise format e-file pleadings motions discovery correspondence other legal documents
- 3Manage case files maintain organized electronic physical document systems
- 4Track deadlines court filings hearings depositions mediations trial schedules
- 5Assist with discovery drafting responses managing document production
- 6Communicate professionally with clients experts insurance carriers courts opposing counsel
- 7Coordinate depositions mediations expert meetings court appearances
- 8Prepare trial materials exhibits binders witness files trial notebooks
- 9Handle State and Federal e-filing
- 10Assist attorney time entry billing support
Requirements10
- 15+ years litigation legal assistant or paralegal experience preferred
- 2Prior litigation personal injury medical malpractice insurance defense trial support experience strongly preferred
- 3Strong organizational skills exceptional attention to detail
- 4Ability to manage multiple priorities deadlines fast-paced environment
- 5Excellent written verbal communication skills
- 6Proficiency Microsoft Office Word Outlook Excel
- 7Experience document management systems litigation software preferred
- 8Knowledge court filing procedures litigation workflows preferred
- 9Trial preparation experience
- 10Experience medical records chronologies complex case files familiarity Outlook Teams Westlaw NetDocuments similar platforms
