Legal AI Innovation Advisor, Law Firm Technology
Overview
You will own AI adoption and innovation for a world-class law firm, driving the design and rollout of generative AI tools across practice groups and business functions. You will work with attorneys, firm leadership, and technology teams to identify AI opportunities, improve legal workflows, and support responsible AI use. The role is senior, hands-on, and strategic, with direct impact on how the firm delivers legal services. You will also shape governance standards and training programs, making this a key position for the firm's future. This role is onsite and requires U.S. citizenship or green card status.
What You'll Do6
- 1Lead AI and legal technology initiatives across practice groups and business functions, focusing on high-impact adoption in the first 90 days.
- 2Evaluate, implement, and optimize AI-powered legal solutions using platforms like Harvey, CoCounsel, and Lexis+ AI.
- 3Partner with attorneys and stakeholders to improve efficiency, productivity, and client service through targeted AI workflows.
- 4Develop best practices, governance standards, and training programs for AI adoption, ensuring responsible use of generative AI.
- 5Monitor emerging legal technology trends and recommend innovative solutions to keep the firm at the forefront of legal AI.
- 6Manage multiple projects while ensuring high-quality deliverables in a client-service environment.
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor's degree required; J.D. strongly preferred.
- 25+ years leading innovation, legal technology, or AI initiatives within a law firm, legal services organization, or legal technology company.
- 3Hands-on experience with legal AI platforms such as Harvey, CoCounsel, Lexis+ AI, or Legora.
- 4Strong understanding of generative AI, prompt engineering, and AI governance.
- 5Proven ability to influence stakeholders, drive technology adoption, and manage cross-functional projects.
- 6Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- 7Preferred: Experience as a practicing attorney within an AMLAW 50 or comparable legal environment.
- 8Preferred: Experience training legal professionals on new technologies and AI-enabled workflows.
- 9Preferred: Knowledge of data security, information governance, and compliance best practices.
