Overview

You will own daily administrative and technology support for attorneys and timekeepers at a DC law firm dedicated exclusively to Federal Indian Law. You will manage calendars, time entry, billing, and documents while serving as the first point of contact for IT help desk requests. Your work directly supports tribal sovereignty and client service. This in-office role requires prior law firm experience and comfort with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Teams.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Manage calendars for multiple attorneys and timekeepers, scheduling meetings and tracking deadlines.
  • 2Enter, review, and edit daily time entries for timekeepers in firm systems.
  • 3Prepare, submit, and track expense reimbursement reports.
  • 4Assist with client billing by reviewing narratives, making edits, and coordinating approvals.
  • 5Create and edit documents in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • 6Maintain electronic and physical files, including scanning and archiving per firm procedures.
  • 7Coordinate new matter intake, conflict checks, and engagement letters.
  • 8Provide first-line help desk support for Microsoft Office, Teams, Adobe, and conference room technology.
  • 9Track and escalate IT tickets to the firm's vendor, following up on resolutions.
  • 10Support onboarding and offboarding by coordinating equipment setup and user access.

Requirements9

  • 1Prior law firm experience required; supporting multiple attorneys strongly preferred.
  • 22+ years in a professional services environment, ideally legal.
  • 3Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • 4Experience with document management, time entry, and billing systems preferred.
  • 5Basic troubleshooting skills for Windows, printers, and video conferencing.
  • 6Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • 7Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • 8Comfort with learning new technology and processes.
  • 9Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
