What You'll Do11
- 1Operate a leaf vacuum truck equipped with a hydraulic vacuum arm to collect leaves grass clippings branches and other organic debris from assigned properties
- 2Drive the truck to and from residential commercial and other designated locations positioning the vehicle safely and efficiently for optimal collection
- 3Monitor and inspect the vacuum system hoses hydraulic arm and truck equipment to ensure proper operation and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly
- 4Assist with loading unloading and proper disposal of collected landscape debris
- 5Work closely with ground crew members to ensure thorough and efficient property cleanup
- 6Maintain awareness of surroundings including pedestrians vehicles landscaping features and structures to ensure safe operation at all times
- 7Follow all company safety policies traffic laws and equipment operating procedures
- 8Keep the truck equipment and work areas clean and organized
- 9Complete required daily paperwork inspections and documentation accurately
- 10Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members regarding job progress and equipment needs
- 11Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements11
- 1Valid driver's license required
- 2Commercial Driver's License CDL may be required depending on assigned vehicle and applicable regulations
- 3Experience operating commercial trucks leaf vacuums or similar heavy equipment preferred
- 4Ability to safely operate a hydraulic vacuum arm and related equipment
- 5Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions
- 6Ability to lift carry push and pull materials as needed
- 7Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- 8Strong attention to safety and equipment awareness
- 9Dependent punctual and willing to work a seasonal schedule that may include early mornings weekends and extended hours during peak leaf season
- 10Ability to sit and operate a commercial vehicle for extended periods frequently enter and exit the truck and perform physical tasks such as standing walking bending stooping reaching and climbing
- 11Must be able to work around loud equipment dust leaves debris and outdoor environmental conditions
