Landscape Laborer | Indianapolis Lawn Maintenance
Overview
You will maintain and build residential and commercial landscapes for a fast-growing Indianapolis company. You'll operate electric lawn equipment, install patios, mulch, sod, and handle routine maintenance. You'll join a tight-knit team of 20 that values craftsmanship and environmental stewardship. This role offers year-round work, paid training, and a clear path to crew lead for those who take initiative. You'll work outdoors, lift 50+ pounds, and drive a truck and trailer to job sites across the greater Indianapolis area.
What You'll Do8
- 1Mow, edge, and trim lawns using electric mowers and string trimmers across residential and commercial properties.
- 2Install mulch, sod, and landscape beds, following designs and grading plans.
- 3Build patios, walkways, and retaining walls by digging, leveling, and placing concrete pavers.
- 4Load and unload equipment and materials, securing them for safe transport.
- 5Inspect and maintain mowers, blowers, and hand tools, reporting any needed repairs to the supervisor.
- 6Communicate politely with homeowners and property managers, answering questions and taking direction.
- 7Operate tractors and trailers to move heavy materials and machines between sites.
- 8Perform seasonal tasks like leaf removal and snow plowing using brine and snow blowers.
Requirements8
- 118+ years old and legally eligible to work in the US.
- 2Clean driving record and ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- 3Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
- 4High school diploma or equivalent.
- 51+ years of experience in lawn maintenance or landscape construction (preferred).
- 6Experience driving a truck and trailer (preferred).
- 7Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
- 8Comfortable working Monday–Friday starting at 7:30 AM and occasional Saturdays during peak season.
Salary Insight
$40 - $52k per year
