Overview

You will own the physical execution of landscape and hardscape projects across the D.C. metro area, installing concrete curbing, water features, and full-site builds to client specs. You join a crew of 8, with a foreman overseeing daily tasks and a safety-first culture. What You'll Do9

  • 1Arrive at the site 7:00 AM sharp, ready to work, and check in with the foreman for the day's priorities.
  • 2Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from trucks, securing them for transport.
  • 3Use hand tools (shovels, rakes, picks) and power tools (plate compactors, concrete saws) to prep and finish surfaces.
  • 4Install concrete curbing, hardscapes, and water features according to blueprints and foreman direction.
  • 5Communicate with clients on-site to confirm scope and answer questions in a polite, professional tone.
  • 6Keep the site clean and hazard-free, collecting debris and properly storing materials.
  • 7Operate company trucks and trailers to move equipment between job sites, adhering to DOT regulations.
  • 8Complete basic maintenance on tools and equipment, reporting any damage to the supervisor.
  • 9Support the crew with manual labor such as digging, leveling, and lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.

Requirements8

  • 11+ year in landscape, construction, or general labor (preferred, not required).
  • 2DOT certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • 3Clean driving record and valid driver's license to operate company trucks and trailers.
  • 4Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift 50+ lbs for full shifts in outdoor conditions.
  • 5Strong attention to detail, checking measurements and finish quality.
  • 6Willingness to learn new techniques, with professional fertilization experience a plus.
  • 7Reliable time management, consistently arriving on-time and completing assigned tasks.
  • 8Team-first attitude, sharing workload and assisting coworkers without prompting.
