Landscape Construction Foreman, Hardscape & Residential Projects
Overview
Run high-end residential landscape construction from start to finish. You own the field operations, lead a crew of 3-5, and report directly to management. Bold landscape construction and hardscape in your toolkit. Work with Jean Brooks Landscapes on the North Shore of Boston. Coordinate daily tasks, install patios, walls, and drainage. This role offers a clear ladder to Project Manager and Operations.
What You'll Do8
- 1Lead and supervise construction crews on residential projects, setting daily priorities and ensuring deadlines meet.
- 2Read and execute landscape plans and specs, translating drawings into built outdoor spaces.
- 3Install patios, walkways, retaining walls, planting beds, and drainage systems with precision.
- 4Operate skid steers and mini excavators safely, training crew on proper equipment use.
- 5Inspect job sites daily, enforce safety protocols, and keep the site organized.
- 6Communicate progress, material needs, and site issues to management, adjusting plans as conditions change.
- 7Mentor crew members on hardscape techniques and company quality standards.
- 8Manage materials and logistics, coordinating deliveries to avoid downtime.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of landscape construction experience, with 2+ years leading crews preferred.
- 2Proven skill in hardscape installation, grading, and drainage.
- 3Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- 4Operate skid steers and mini excavators confidently.
- 5Organized and clear communicator, able to direct a team.
- 6Comfortable working outdoors in all weather, lifting heavy materials.
- 7Valid driver's license required; CDL a plus.
- 8Preferred: ICPI or NCMA certification, OSHA training, and experience with irrigation and lighting.
