What You'll Do7

  • 1Perform daily hardscape construction tasks on residential sites, including excavation, base prep, and compaction for natural stone patios and walkways.
  • 2Install pavers and natural stone to precise line, grade, and pattern, ensuring structural integrity and visual perfection.
  • 3Build retaining walls, steps, and walkways per design plans, flagging discrepancies before construction begins.
  • 4Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and small equipment like plate compactors, saws, and mixers, reporting mechanical issues promptly.
  • 5Coordinate material staging and delivery of aggregate, stone, and pavers, keeping sites organized and clean.
  • 6Support site setup and close-out, including tool accountability and debris disposal, to maintain safety and efficiency.
  • 7Protect existing plantings and irrigation during construction, implementing temporary erosion control as directed.

Requirements7

  • 13+ years of professional experience in residential hardscape installation, with proven skill in paver and natural stone.
  • 2Working knowledge of base preparation, compaction, grading, and drainage fundamentals.
  • 3Ability to lift heavy materials and perform demanding outdoor work across a full New England season.
  • 4Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • 5Comfort operating hand tools and small power equipment, including plate compactors and saws.
  • 6Familiarity with reading design plans and grading markers in the field.
  • 7OSHA 10 certification, or willingness to obtain (reimbursed).
