Lead Toddler Teacher, Early Childhood Education & Child Development
Overview
BA degree or equivalent credentials preferred with a focus in education or early childhood. Owns the classroom and supports children’s physical, mental, social and spiritual development in a nurturing, faith-aligned environment at a Christian center. Works with a team to implement the curriculum and maintain a warm, respectful atmosphere for children, families, visitors and staff. This role stands out by combining faith-based guidance with hands-on early childhood learning at a small center.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build daily lesson plans and classroom activities to support toddler development and meet licensing guidelines
- 2Direct the classroom and guide the aide to ensure safe, engaging activities for children
- 3Develop positive relationships with children and families and communicate progress and needs
- 4Adapt to changes in activity, priorities, and schedule while maintaining consistency in care
- 5Supervise a classroom and maintain a clean, organized environment in classrooms and play areas
- 6Diffuse conflicts and manage small behavioral issues with patience and care
- 7Assist with housekeeping duties and playground supervision to keep a healthy learning space
- 8Communicate clearly and respectfully with staff and parents in English
- 9Use a tablet for documentation and communication in daily routines
- 10Collaborate with team to maintain program quality and align with policy requirements

- 4Be physically able to use a tablet with basic proficiency
- 5Be able to get up and down off the floor and engage with children safely
- 6Communicate with children and their parents in English
- 7Flexibility as to hours and schedule of work
- 8CPR Certification or willingness to obtain
- 9First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
- 10Education: BA degree in any field with licensing-relevant credits OR CDA credential OR AA in Early Childhood Education
