What You'll Do10

  • 1Install terminate test troubleshoot Cat6/6a and fiber optics
  • 2Install lighting controls structured cabling systems paging systems and camera systems
  • 3Read interpret large building blueprints and make changes when necessary
  • 4Label and certify installed systems per provided plans
  • 5Build out new closets including cabinets racks ladder rack and neatly install cabling systems
  • 6Start and finish small to medium scale commercial buildings as a job lead
  • 7Mentor and train apprentices on the job as necessary
  • 8Walkthrough site with PM to determine best cabling routes and project needs
  • 9Install according to specifications and plans
  • 10Maintain project schedule and stay on or under budget

Requirements5

  • 14-5+ years low voltage experience installing cat6 and fiber optic systems in a commercial environment
  • 2PLT license required
  • 3Valid driver’s license
  • 4BICSI INST1 INSTC INSTF preferred
  • 55+ years experience with BICSI certifications
