What You'll Do10
- 1Install terminate test troubleshoot Cat6/6a and fiber optics
- 2Install lighting controls structured cabling systems paging systems and camera systems
- 3Read interpret large building blueprints and make changes when necessary
- 4Label and certify installed systems per provided plans
- 5Build out new closets including cabinets racks ladder rack and neatly install cabling systems
- 6Start and finish small to medium scale commercial buildings as a job lead
- 7Mentor and train apprentices on the job as necessary
- 8Walkthrough site with PM to determine best cabling routes and project needs
- 9Install according to specifications and plans
- 10Maintain project schedule and stay on or under budget
Requirements5
- 14-5+ years low voltage experience installing cat6 and fiber optic systems in a commercial environment
- 2PLT license required
- 3Valid driver’s license
- 4BICSI INST1 INSTC INSTF preferred
- 55+ years experience with BICSI certifications
