Lead Infrastructure Engineer, Public Cloud Storage & GCP
Overview
Own the design and operation of scalable cloud storage services across hybrid environments with GCP at the center. You will establish enterprise standards, drive modernization, and enable application teams to consume storage services across on-premises and cloud. You will mentor engineers and collaborate with security, platform, and vendor teams to accelerate cloud adoption. This role stands out by combining storage architecture, IaC automation, and governance in a regulated enterprise setting.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and design scalable, secure storage solutions in GCP andon-premises environments
- 2Develop and maintain enterprise storage standards, reference architectures, and engineering best practices across hybrids
- 3Lead storage strategy initiatives for hybrid and multi‑cloud adoption and modernization
- 4Drive onboarding of new storage products, services, and technologies with cross‑functional partners
- 5Design and implement Terraform driven IaC for storage provisioning and lifecycle management
- 6Collaborate with application, platform, security, and infrastructure teams to accelerate cloud adoption
- 7Architect workload migration patterns between on‑premises and cloud environments
- 8Establish governance, encryption, data protection, and compliance standards across storage
- 9Evaluate emerging storage technologies and provide architectural guidance to leadership
- 10Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership for cloud storage modernization
Requirements9
- 15+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience
- 25+ years of experience in storage engineering, cloud engineering, or infrastructure architecture
- 3Deep hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- 4Experience designing and supporting cloud object storage, file storage, and block storage
- 5Strong experience implementing Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform
- 6Proven experience operating in hybrid cloud environments and migrating workloads
- 7Experience with cloud networking, security, identity, encryption, and compliance requirements
- 8Experience leading large‑scale enterprise onboarding and modernization initiatives
- 9Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
