What You'll Do11

  • 1Adhere to Powell current safety quality standards
  • 2Complete all site documentation timely including weekly time sheets signed service repair orders materials used report writing
  • 3Provide regular clear communication regarding work schedule to Field Operations Scheduler District Service Manager
  • 4Maintain flexible work hours including overtime periodic weekend support
  • 5Travel up to 85 percent year comply with Powell standard operating procedures documentation processes safety protocols coordinate with Powell Project management customers vendors labor support
  • 6Work in different roles from supporting Manufacturing Department within house fabrication to overseeing small crews on installation projects
  • 7Switchgear and PCR installations DC AC Switchgear perform performance testing including insulation testing megger testing Ductor Hi Potential testing torque tests mechanical functional testing
  • 8Perform regular inspections of issued vehicle calibrated equipment tools provide support to services manufacturing group
  • 9Construction installation wiring testing local domestic travel PCR breakers switchgear installation troubleshooting testing repair
  • 10Minimum qualifications 8 years shop field electrical breaker technician exhibit basic knowledge of Electrical Industry manufacturing standards sections of ANSI IEEE C37 applicable to breakers switchgear
  • 11Basic knowledge of ANSI IEEE device function numbers ampacities of electrical conductors in switchgear applications

Requirements13

  • 18 years as shop field electrical breaker technician
  • 2Exhibit basic knowledge of Electrical Industry manufacturing standards sections of ANSI IEEE C37 applicable to breakers switchgear
  • 3Basic knowledge of ampacities of electrical conductors in switchgear applications
  • 4Basic knowledge of electrical air and surface creepage clearance requirements
  • 5Ability to explain basic anomalies found on a given project
  • 6Basic familiarity with contactor and circuit breaker schematics preferred
  • 7Basic understanding of hi potential testing preferred
  • 8Basic understanding of low resistance testing preferred
  • 9Basic working knowledge of mechanical and electrical functional testing of circuit breakers and electrical switchgear preferred
  • 10NICET Level 1 certification preferred
  • 11HUET Offshore Survival Training will be provided if not currently certified
  • 12NFPA 70E trained preferred training can be provided
  • 13OSHA 10/30 trained preferred training can be provided
