Overview
You will own daily operations at Monkey King Play House, a family entertainment center in Portland, Oregon, serving hundreds of guests weekly. You will coordinate events, manage kitchen output, and uphold safety standards across the facility. Working with a close-knit team, you will be the go-to person for guest satisfaction and smooth shift execution. This role stands out for its hands-on leadership across play, food, and hospitality.
What You'll Do6
- 1Open and close the facility, following all operational procedures to ensure a secure start and end to each day.
- 2Lead guest interactions with friendly, attentive service that turns first-time visitors into regular families.
- 3Coordinate on-site events, from birthday parties to community gatherings, ensuring activities run on schedule.
- 4Manage kitchen tasks including food prep, supply inventory, and cleanliness checks to meet health standards.
- 5Perform deep-cleaning routines for play areas and seating zones, keeping the environment safe for kids.
- 6Step in for team members during busy periods, covering front desk, cafe, or play zone duties as needed.
Requirements6
- 11+ years in a lead or supervisory role in family entertainment, hospitality, or quick-service food.
- 2Hands-on experience with point-of-sale systems and cash handling for transactions.
- 3Food safety certification, such as ServSafe, with knowledge of Oregon sanitation rules.
- 4Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks, from overseeing play areas to managing kitchen orders.
- 5Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long shifts in a lively environment.
- 6Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays, as that is when the playhouse is busiest.
