Overview
You will Lead and Execute carpentry projects for Andrew & Co. Design + Build, building Custom Homes and Large-Scale Remodels in Pittsburgh, PA. You'll manage the Full Build Process from Foundations to Finish Carpentry, coordinating Subcontractors and Self-Performed Work. This role demands Proven Leadership and Mastery of Residential Framing and Finish Work. You'll step into a Dynamic Work Environment with clear Quality Standards and a Direct Impact on every project.
What You'll Do8
- 1Lead the carpentry team on New Custom Home Builds and Large Remodels, ensuring Quality Craftsmanship and On-Schedule Completion.
- 2Execute Ground-Up Construction phases including Foundations, Framing, Exterior Finishes, and Interior Trim using Power Tools and Hand Tools.
- 3Read and Interpret Blueprints and Schematics to lay out work, order materials, and align Structural Elements.
- 4Coordinate with Project Managers and Subcontractors to sequence work and resolve On-Site Issues.
- 5Mentor Apprentice Carpenters, demonstrating Safe Tool Use and Proper Technique.
- 6Inspect work for Accuracy and Compliance with Building Codes and Design Specifications.
- 7Maintain a Safe Jobsite, enforcing OSHA Standards and Company Safety Policies.
- 8Manage Material Inventory and Tool Maintenance to prevent delays.
Requirements8
- 13+ years of Residential Carpentry experience with a focus on Custom Homes and Remodeling (required).
- 23+ years of Residential Framing experience, including Wall Layout, Roof Framing, and Sheathing (required).
- 3Proven Experience as a Lead Carpenter or Similar Supervisory Role.
- 4Proficiency in using Power Tools and Hand Tools with Expert Technique.
- 5Strong Knowledge of Carpentry Techniques, Building Materials, and Construction Methods.
- 6Ability to Read and Interpret Blueprints and Schematics with precision.
- 7Detail-Oriented with a Dedication to Quality and Craftsmanship.
- 8Strong Leadership and Communication Skills to motivate and direct a team.
