Carpenter - Rough & Finish
Overview
Andrew & Co. Design + Build seeks a Carpenter for large scope remodels and new construction in Pittsburgh, PA. You will own rough and finish carpentry from layout to trim, working onsite with a team of builders. Expect to master the craft of home building end to end, with 2+ years of proven experience in both rough and finish carpentry. This role demands quality focus, professional conduct, and the ability to lift 80 lbs.
What You'll Do8
- 1Frame walls, layout, and cut rafters for new construction and remodels.
- 2Install windows and doors, including custom door jambs with mortising and routering.
- 3Hang drywall across various surfaces and prepare for finishing.
- 4Install flooring types including hardwood, laminate, and tile.
- 5Read blueprints and translate measurements into precise cuts and assemblies.
- 6Operate hand and power tools safely, maintaining your own tool kit.
- 7Collaborate with the crew to complete projects on schedule.
- 8Inspect finished work for quality and adjust as needed.
Requirements10
- 12+ years of frame carpentry experience
- 22+ years of trim carpentry experience
- 3Proficiency with hand tools and power tools, including circular saw, impact driver, and drill
- 4Own hand tools, tool belt, circular saw, impact, and drill
- 5Basic framing knowledge: layout, wall framing, rafter cutting, and trim installation
- 6Experience installing windows and doors, and custom door jambs
- 7Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
- 8Driver's License
- 9Outstanding communication skills
- 10Ability to work in a team and independently
