Overview
Lead application architecture for the U.S. Census Bureau's DTAM program, shaping the structure of mission-critical systems. What You'll Do10
- 1Establish and document application architecture standards and patterns, prioritizing interoperability, security, and scalability.
- 2Design secure multi-cloud application architectures using microservices, infrastructure as code, serverless computing, and containerization.
- 3Develop and maintain tools and templates for managing application architecture processes.
- 4Perform solution architecture activities to align requirements with Decennial architecture goals.
- 5Create and maintain architecture artifacts and present to governance boards.
- 6Review and assess current and proposed architectures, providing actionable recommendations.
- 7Develop Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) based on business requirements for each application.
- 8Define API standards covering management, discovery, security, and governance.
- 9Implement application lifecycle management aligned with Zero Trust Architecture and API security.
- 10Integrate FinOps practices, including automated cost monitoring and optimization strategies.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 215+ years providing technical leadership on major application architecture assignments.
- 3Expertise in defining architecture standards, patterns, and reference architectures.
- 4Proven ability to design secure multi-cloud architectures using microservices, IaC, serverless, and containerization.
- 5Strong background in API management, including design, security, discovery, and governance.
- 6Experience aligning application lifecycle with Zero Trust Architecture.
- 7Experience developing CONOPS and briefing architecture governance boards.
- 8U.S. citizenship required.
