Lead AHL Off-Ice Official
Overview
The Lead Off-Ice Official oversees a 16-person crew during AHL games. This role requires managing schedules, ensuring accurate roster and scoring records, and operating game equipment. Successful candidates will drive efficiency across all game-day operations.
What You'll Do8
- 1Supervise a 16-person crew of off-ice officials including scheduling
- 2Work with on-ice officials to ensure accuracy
- 3Ensure accuracy of game rosters and starting line-ups prior to each game
- 4Oversee timing of all penalties assessed by referees
- 5Track and record in-game statistics such as goals assists and penalties
- 6Operate video review equipment and communication tools
- 7Maintain compliance with AHL bylaws and scoring systems
- 8Coordinate with teams and officials for smooth game-day execution
Requirements5
- 1Complete understanding of hockey with significant knowledge of the sport
- 2College degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- 3Specific understanding of AHL rules bylaws and scoring systems
- 4Strong organizational and time management abilities
- 5Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
