Director of Ballpark Operations
Overview
Oak View Group seeks a Director of Ballpark Operations to lead LeLacheur Park at UMass Lowell. This role owns daily operations and coordinates with tenants and internal teams to maintain high standards. The position ensures facility readiness and delivers exceptional experiences for guests and tenants.
What You'll Do20
- 1Facilitate overall management of LeLacheur Park
- 2Coordinate daily activities with Operations Maintenance Grounds Security and Parking
- 3Identify operational improvements and implement best practices
- 4Serve as primary contact for UML Baseball team and Lowell Spinners tenants
- 5Coordinate operational meetings and event planning
- 6Resolve operational issues while maintaining positive tenant relationships
- 7Oversee planning and execution of non-game events and facility rentals
- 8Manage inquiries and scheduling for facility rentals
- 9Assist in preparing and managing annual operating budgets
- 10Monitor event profitability and departmental expenses
- 11Coordinate staffing activities and support hiring and training
- 12Maintain event calendars and operational documentation
- 13Prepare reports and operational summaries
- 14Ensure compliance with venue policies and university procedures
- 15Oversee facility readiness for events including cleaning setup and safety standards
- 16Support campus-wide OVG events as needed
- 17Coordinate activities of full-time and part-time event staff
- 18Foster a positive team-oriented work environment
- 19Maintain records and ensure legal compliance
- 20Develop operating budgets and improve operational efficiencies
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons leading stadium operations
- 35+ years experience in facility or stadium operations
- 4Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- 5CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire)
- 6Strong communication and organizational skills
- 7Ability to work flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays
- 8Physical ability to lift heavy objects climb and work outdoors in New England weather
- 9Experience with budgeting and vendor negotiations
- 10Knowledge of venue management systems
- 11Demonstrated leadership in fast-paced environments
