Assistant Director Facilities Operations Event Management
Overview
Lead independent planning and execution of NCAA Division I home contests and special events while overseeing Athletics facility readiness. Provide strategic support for campus operations and vendor coordination. Serve as primary liaison with coaches and external partners to ensure safe functional event spaces.
What You'll Do11
- 1Provide leadership for planning and execution of all NCAA Division I home contests and conferences championships
- 2Oversee event staffing logistics and operational readiness across campus facilities
- 3Coordinate preventive maintenance and equipment upkeep through proactive tracking systems
- 4Recruit train schedule supervise and evaluate event supervisors and student assistants
- 5Develop operational schedules resolving facility conflicts to maximize utilization
- 6Manage budgeting procurement and inventory for athletics department operations
- 7Support facility improvement initiatives improving safety and customer service
- 8Act as primary liaison with coaches vendors and external partners for seamless event delivery
- 9Resolve facility scheduling conflicts between Athletics programs and campus departments
- 10Assist with operational budgets and contract administration for athletics facilities
- 11Ensure compliance with university and regulatory standards for facility management
Requirements11
- 15+ years building event operations with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons managing large-scale athletic facility logistics
- 3CPC Card certification preferred
- 4AWS Certified cloud infrastructure experience valued
- 5BCBA credential beneficial for supervisory roles
- 65+ years developing preventive maintenance programs
- 73-5 years supervising student staff and contractors
- 82+ years handling operational budgets over $500k
- 9Heavy work requirement involving lifting over 40 pounds
- 10Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- 11Excellent communication skills for cross-cultural campus engagement
