Sports Official (Adult) - Volleyball
Overview
The Sports Official (Adult) - Volleyball leads officiating duties across recreational programs while ensuring compliance with department policies. This role requires maintaining a safe competitive environment promoting positive sportsmanship and effective communication. Responsibilities include assisting with field setup safety inspections incident documentation and staff supervision. The position offers a competitive salary range of $26.43 - $35.75 per hour on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from September 17th through December 11th 2026.
What You'll Do10
- 1Maintain a safe yet competitive environment for all participants
- 2Promote positive sportsmanship throughout events
- 3Assist with field and court setup and takedown
- 4Inspect facilities for safety hazards before games
- 5Document and report incidents to supervisors within 24 hours
- 6Ensure safety of staff participants and coaches
- 7Communicate effectively with teams coaches and spectators
- 8Provide training and oversight to youth officials
- 9Comply with city and county policies and complete required trainings
- 10Lead by example in demonstrating professional conduct
Requirements10
- 12 seasons officiating experience required
- 24 seasons competitive playing or coaching experience required
- 3Valid AED First Aid and CPR certifications within 90 days of hire
- 4Pass pre-offer interviews reference checks and background checks
- 5Be 18 years of age
- 6Hold CPC Card or equivalent certification
- 7Demonstrate knowledge of AWS and React fundamentals
- 8Possess strong physical stamina and ability to perform aerobic exercises
- 9Have valid driving record and ability to travel to assigned locations
- 10Show commitment to continuous learning and professional development
