Overview

The LCSW will own the psychosocial care of high‑risk patients and families in an inpatient setting. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and coordinating care across multiple agencies. This role differs by requiring rapid assessment within 24 hours of referral and direct supervisory oversight of clinical staff.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Assess patient and family to identify emotional and social problems using the department’s psychosocial tool
  • 2Formulate and implement treatment plans addressing identified issues
  • 3Report suspected abuse and neglect and follow up for compliance
  • 4Initiate therapy or psychosocial support for patients and families
  • 5Maintain confidentiality and document encounters accurately
  • 6Provide supervision to other department personnel
  • 7Complete assessments for inpatient, outpatient, and ED patients promptly
  • 8Document daily activities and submit required reports on schedule
  • 9Participate in department committees and attend staff meetings
  • 10Supervise MSW and BSW students as assigned
  • 11Identify operational improvements and recommend solutions

Requirements5

  • 1Master’s Degree from an accredited School of Social Work
  • 2Massachusetts Licensed Certified Social Worker credential
  • 35+ years of experience building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
  • 4Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced dynamic environment
  • 5Strong knowledge of community resources for children and families
