Laundry Worker, Long-Term Care Facility
Overview
You will own the full linen lifecycle at a long-term care facility, processing and distributing clean linens and garments for 50+ residents daily. You will join a dedicated housekeeping team under HCSG leadership, collaborating with nursing staff and administration. This role stands out for its direct impact on resident comfort and infection control, with no prior experience required and full training provided.
What You'll Do5
- 1Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing for residents.
- 2Operate industrial washers and dryers safely, following load limits and cycle settings.
- 3Maintain laundry activity logs and report equipment issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- 4Apply infection control and universal precautions in all tasks to maintain a sanitary environment.
- 5Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, delivering courteous customer service.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).
- 2Previous laundry experience is preferred but not required.
- 3Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- 4Comfort working with cleaning products and following safety protocols.
- 5Able to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks.
- 6Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- 7Residency within the service area required.
