Laundry Worker, Healthcare Services & Facility Support
Overview
The Laundry Worker owns the cleanliness and availability of linens for a long-term care facility at scale. You will join a team focused on reliable service to residents and staff in a supportive culture. This role emphasizes hands-on cleaning, equipment operation, infection control, and positive resident interactions, contributing to a comfortable and hygienic environment.
What You'll Do6
- 1Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing
- 2Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
- 3Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor
- 4Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment
- 5Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service
- 6All other duties as assigned
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2Previous laundry experience is preferred but not required
- 3Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods
- 4Must be able to work around cleaning products
- 5Residency within the service area required
