Laborer, Field Service & Travel Construction
Overview
Role owns hands on labor and traveling technician duties across infrastructure projects. You will support hydro excavation, pipe work, and utility maintenance at multiple sites with emphasis on safety and quality in outdoor environments. Collaborate with field teams and adapt to varying project locations while traveling as needed. This role stands out for its travel requirements and exposure to diverse construction tasks.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and move materials and equipment to support project progress
- 2Assist hydro-excavation operations to expose underground utilities
- 3Support storm and sewer line cleaning and related pipe maintenance
- 4Contribute to pipe-jetting and excavation tasks according to site plans
- 5Travel as a field technician to multiple project locations
- 6Work independently and with crews to complete tasks on schedule
- 7Coordinate with team members to maintain safety protocols on site
- 8Operate and maintain basic construction tools and equipment
- 9Document work performed and report progress to supervisors
- 10Support additional project tasks as directed by leads
Requirements10
- 1Ability to stand, bend, squat, and lift at least 80 pounds regularly
- 2Willingness to travel frequently as projects are not local
- 3Comfort working outdoors in varying weather and terrain
- 4Strong teamwork and communication skills
- 5Prior experience in construction, excavation, hydrovac, or pipe work is preferred
- 6Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed for overtime
- 7Physically able to perform manual labor tasks safely and efficiently
- 8Reliable and demonstrated strong work ethic
- 9Ability to follow safety procedures and site protocols
- 10Contract to hire status in Olathe, KS
Salary Insight
$37 - $46k per year
