What You'll Do9
- 1Prepare specimens for testing by separating blood components into appropriate samples for in-house or external testing
- 2Provide courteous and complete responses to client inquiries and requests
- 3Process mail for designated clients and locations
- 4Maintain laboratory supply inventory
- 5Utilize Microsoft Word PowerPoint Excel Microsoft Outlook Epic EPIC Beaker Computer proficiency
- 6Work independently and make decisions when needed
- 7Communicate effectively with staff visitors patients physicians and the public
- 8Follow written and oral instructions
- 9Multitask by answering phones while managing other work functions
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or GED required
- 2Minimum 1 year hospital or reference laboratory experience preferred
- 3Proficiency in typing computer systems and basic science knowledge
- 4Strong English communication speaking reading abilities
- 5Ability to work flexibly under stress with shifting priorities
- 6Familiarity with keyboard and ability to multitask
- 7Experience with Microsoft Office suite and customer service
- 8Ability to follow instructions and collaborate in a team environment
