IT Hardware Tech Supervisor, ITAD & Electronics Recycling
Overview
You will lead daily operations for electronics refurbishing and data sanitation at Sprout, a growing IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) provider. This role supervises the Level 3 and Level 4 Operators while managing sERP (proprietary software) to route devices to retail or recycling channels. You will diagnose and harvest components from laptops, servers, and networking equipment, directly impacting our sustainability mission. What You'll Do8
- 1Run diagnostics on laptops, tablets, servers, and networking equipment to determine reuse or recycling paths.
- 2Operate specialized equipment and sERP to manage data sanitation for hundreds of hard drives simultaneously.
- 3Create labels and scan barcodes in sERP to inventory electronic components by attributes.
- 4Coordinate, supervise, and account for daily activities of Level 3 and Level 4 Operators to meet production goals.
- 5Open, close, and interpret shop orders to ensure accurate workflow through the facility.
- 6Manipulate all aspects of sERP to track shipments, inventory, and production status.
- 7Use Softhinks, Future Dial, Kronos, EPS, and WipeOS to complete data erasure and reporting.
- 8Ensure compliance with PPE and safety protocols while handling electronic waste.
Requirements9
- 15+ years in electronics refurbishing or ITAD operations with hands-on component knowledge.
- 22+ years supervising a team of technicians in a production environment.
- 3Proficiency with sERP or similar ERP systems, plus MS Teams, Outlook, and Excel.
- 4Working knowledge of Softhinks, Future Dial, Kronos, EPS, and WipeOS.
- 5Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds for 8-hour shifts.
- 6Experience using hand tools like power drills and pliers for disassembly.
- 7Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse with exposure to mechanical and electrical currents.
- 8Analytical mindset with a proven record of learning new technologies quickly.
- 9High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in A+ or CompTIA preferred.
