IT Hardware Asset Admin, Inventory Control
Overview
You will manage IT hardware assets at scale, tracking every device from procurement to retirement. You will own inventory accuracy in a high-visibility environment, supporting ServiceNow workflows and collaborating with procurement and helpdesk teams. This role stands out because you will directly impact cost savings and operational efficiency through precise asset tracking. Windows 11 and Office 365 are your daily toolkit, ensuring seamless asset deployment and lifecycle management.
What You'll Do7
- 1Receive, stage, and deploy IT hardware, using ServiceNow to log each asset with precise detail.
- 2Update asset records in ServiceNow within 24 hours of any change, ensuring data integrity for audits.
- 3Perform quarterly physical inventory counts, reconciling system records with actual stock to identify discrepancies.
- 4Coordinate with procurement to schedule deliveries, minimizing downtime for new hires and equipment refreshes.
- 5Troubleshoot hardware issues on Windows 11 devices, escalating complex cases to senior engineers.
- 6Generate monthly inventory reports in Excel using pivot tables and vlookups, presenting trends to management.
- 7Manage the return process for decommissioned equipment, wiping data and updating disposal records in ServiceNow.
Requirements7
- 1Associate degree in a computer-related field, or BS in Computer Information Systems preferred.
- 21+ year working in an IT asset room or stockroom, managing hardware inventory.
- 31+ year using ServiceNow Incident and Asset Management modules.
- 4Proficiency with Windows 11 and Office 365 applications.
- 5Advanced skills in Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
- 6Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for coordinating with teams.
- 7Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during inventory counts.
