IPV Logistics Material Specialist I & II
Overview
IPV Logistics Material Specialist I & II support bench stock and material operations in a DoD environment. This role involves setting up bench stock locations, performing KCC validation, inspecting materials, processing receipts, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The position requires strong customer service skills and hands-on inventory experience.
What You'll Do11
- 1Set up bench stock locations and perform Perform Kind Count and Condition validation while processing receipts
- 2Inspect all material for defects and segregate and stage bench stock material to designated depot shop
- 3Process all receipt documents into IL T and place shipments away in warehouse inventory locations
- 4Retain all vendor documentation and provide it to the Site Manager
- 5Place material into bins according to customer scheduled delivery audit results
- 6Perform visual checks of bin locations twice weekly including Friday
- 7Apply barcode labels to bins as directed by the Site
- 8Enter entries on the computer via keyboard or handheld device
- 9Report material discrepancies and NSNs impacting customer support to the Site
- 10Load and unload trucks transporting parts weighing approximately 40 pounds
- 11Stand or walk for extended periods and lift minimum 40 pounds
Requirements7
- 1High school education or equivalent with 2+ years experience in customer service inventory shipping or receiving
- 2Valid state driver's license
- 3Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jack or delivery cart
- 4Understand and read basic safety protocols and wear hearing protection safety goggles and OSHA approved gear
- 5Energetic confident communicator with practical judgment
- 6Prior warehouse experience is desirable
- 75+ years experience for LMS II requiring inventory management stocking background
