iPhone System Engineer - Power & Charging
Overview
Power & Charging Systems Engineer leading development of next generation iPhone power management and charging subsystems. This individual contributor role drives design from circuit level to system integration, collaborating with internal hardware software teams and external partners. Expect expertise in portable low-power electronics and commitment to high-volume product quality.
What You'll Do12
- 1Plan system and subsystem power and charging architecture including IO trees and charging policies
- 2Distill system requirements into IC definitions and write specifications
- 3Draft and review IC datasheets
- 4Conduct IC design reviews and manage bug tracking throughout the full design cycle
- 5Drive and participate in system-level discussions on power management charging and battery management
- 6Participate in IP development schematic and layout reviews
- 7Lead or assist in prototype bring-up and lab debugging
- 8Perform bench verification of functional and parametric characteristics using automation scripts
- 9Conduct signal characterization across power and charging domains
- 10Provide production test support manufacturing support and field issue resolution
- 11Collaborate across hardware software mechanical and thermal engineering disciplines
- 12Maintain strong organizational skills manage multiple priorities and deliver complex tasks
Requirements10
- 1MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years industry experience
- 2Minimum BS/MS in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years industry experience
- 3Strong EE fundamentals covering power converters op-amps filters ADCs/DACs output drivers
- 4Hands-on experience with lab equipment oscilloscopes power analyzers digital meters and circuit prototyping
- 5Proven track record of prototyping bringing up validating and debugging circuits and products in the lab
- 6Ability to collaborate across hardware software mechanical and thermal engineering teams
- 7Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 8Experience with IC vendors and contract manufacturers
- 9Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 10Commitment to delivering high-quality high-volume products
Salary Insight
$150 - $278k per year
