Overview
This is a remote, task-based freelance role for an experienced investor relations professional. You'll be given mock company files and asked to produce standard IR deliverables—like earnings releases, prepared remarks, and guidance memos—that get evaluated against a clear rubric. The goal is to build a high-quality library of public-company IR work products. This is not a fundraising role; it focuses strictly on public-company investor relations.
What You'll Do4
- 1Draft earnings releases, prepared remarks, and Q&A briefings for a quarterly results call.
- 2Recommend guidance updates and provide scenario analysis to support any revisions.
- 3Create investor day and IR presentation materials, including equity story decks, AGM packages, and deal announcement collateral.
- 4Analyze the shareholder register, assess activist vulnerability, and propose dividend or capital return recommendations.
Requirements4
- 1At least 4 years of in-house investor relations experience at a public company.
- 2Direct, end-to-end ownership of an earnings cycle—from release through Q&A and analyst engagement.
- 3Nice to have: NIRI IRC charter, prior sell-side equity research experience, or work at an IR agency.
- 4Ability to complete a mock assessment: an earnings release, prepared remarks, guidance revision recommendation, and an activist vulnerability assessment.
