Inventory & Master Data Governance Lead, SAP S/4HANA
Overview
You will own Material Master governance and inventory planning for Borusan Pipe U.S., a steel pipe manufacturer. As the enterprise functional owner, you will manage SAP S/4HANA master data, support MRP, and drive inventory accuracy across all locations. You will coordinate with procurement, production, and warehouse teams to optimize inventory investment. Your work will directly impact operational readiness and data integrity, making you a key partner in the supply chain. What You'll Do10
- 1Own Material Master records in SAP S/4HANA, from creation to retirement, ensuring compliance with standards.
- 2Prevent duplicate materials and maintain data integrity across all SAP views, including purchasing, MRP, and warehouse.
- 3Monitor inventory levels and recommend stocking strategies to balance service and cost.
- 4Execute MRP runs, analyze exception messages, and coordinate resolution with procurement and production.
- 5Lead cycle counts and physical inventories, investigating discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
- 6Support warehouse operations by maintaining storage location data and improving transaction accuracy.
- 7Create and maintain Material Masters for MRO and raw materials, including steel coils and couplings.
- 8Coordinate engineering changes and new product introductions affecting Material Master data.
- 9Develop and track KPIs like inventory turns, dead stock, and material creation turnaround.
- 10Drive continuous improvement by standardizing processes and training end users on inventory procedures.
Requirements8
- 15+ years in inventory management, master data governance, or supply chain roles within manufacturing.
- 2Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Material Master and Inventory Management modules.
- 3Strong understanding of MRP logic, planning parameters, and exception handling.
- 4Proven ability to define and enforce data governance standards and naming conventions.
- 5Experience with cycle counting, physical inventory, and root cause analysis.
- 6Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements related to inventory and master data.
- 7Excellent analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting tools.
- 8Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, production, and warehouse teams.
