Intermediate Material Handler, Aerospace & Defense Material Control
Overview
Own material flow in a Phoenix manufacturing facility supporting aerospace and defense production. Manage stockroom operations including kitting, inventory accuracy, and shipping receiving to meet delivery timelines and quality standards. Collaborate with planning, procurement, and production teams to resolve discrepancies. Contribute to lean improvements and ensure ITAR, AS9100, and ESD compliance. This role blends hands on material handling with regulatory requirements in a safety minded environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and inspect incoming materials for quality and documentation in accordance with standards
- 2Execute kitting activities with accuracy and timely release to production
- 3Perform cycle counts and reconciliation to maintain inventory accuracy
- 4Collaborate with planning and procurement to resolve discrepancies and prevent shortages
- 5Monitor material movement across stockroom production and shipping areas
- 6Operate material handling equipment including forklifts pallet jacks and barcode scanners
- 7Maintain ERP inventory records ensuring data integrity and traceability
- 8Support lean and inventory optimization continuous improvement initiatives
- 9Ensure compliance with ITAR AS9100 ESD and Mercury safety procedures
- 10Work with other material handlers to promote best practices and standards
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 22-3+ years of material handling inventory control or stockroom experience
- 3Experience with ERP systems and inventory management tools
- 4Experience kitting BOM interpretation and production support workflows
- 5Forklift certification or ability to obtain upon hire
