Interim Surgical Services Manager, Dallas TX
Overview
You will lead Surgical Services at Medical City Arlington, Dallas, TX on a contract basis, stepping into a director-level vacancy to ensure seamless operations across 24/7 perioperative departments. You will manage OR teams, budgets, and quality initiatives with support from OR Managers and Charge Nurses. This role offers immediate impact in a top-tier HCA facility, with the flexibility to leverage your CNOR or CSSM certification and Compact Licensure.
What You'll Do10
- 1Own 24/7 operations of assigned Surgery and related departments from day one
- 2Set strategic goals and update policies and procedures within the first 90 days
- 3Prepare and manage operating budgets, ensuring fiscal accountability
- 4Lead multidisciplinary QI teams to improve patient outcomes and safety
- 5Collaborate with surgeons, staff, and other departments to streamline care
- 6Direct staffing patterns with OR Managers, Assistant Nurse Managers, and Charge Nurses
- 7Build trusting relationships across the care continuum to drive clinical excellence
- 8Coach and develop staff to enhance performance and retention
- 9Communicate compellingly with all stakeholders to ensure alignment
- 10Drive execution, results, and quality in a fast-changing environment
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required, Master's preferred
- 25+ years of experience as a Surgical Services Manager or Director
- 3Current RN licensure in the state of placement required, Compact Licensure preferred
- 4CNOR or CSSM certification preferred
- 5Proven business acumen and strategic relationship building skills
- 6Strong coaching and mentoring abilities with a focus on staff growth
- 7Excellent communication and customer focus skills
- 8Ability to drive results and maintain quality orientation
- 9Willingness to obtain licensure in other states as needed
- 10Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred
