Insurance Defense Paralegal, Miami & Litigation Support
Overview
This role owns discovery coordination and document management for insurance defense litigation at a growing Miami firm. You will support multiple cases, manage deadlines, and prepare materials for hearings, depositions, and trials at a high standard of accuracy. You will join a team of diverse attorneys and professionals focused on professional growth and excellence. What You'll Do10
- 1Build and manage discovery requests and responses, organize documents, and coordinate document productions including bates-stamping and redaction
- 2Design and maintain calendars and deadlines across the life of each case to ensure timely filings and responses
- 3Drive preparation of litigation status reports, trial notebooks, and deposition/mediation materials
- 4Ship materials for oral arguments and depositions and coordinate trial logistics
- 5Own trial preparation including exhibits, witness materials, and trial packets
- 6Scale e-discovery workflows and document review processes to improve efficiency
- 7Lead research and summarize client and plaintiff-submitted documents for filings
- 8Provide support for federal and state court filings and document retrieval
- 9Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure accuracy and compliance in all submissions
- 10Maintain proactivity in learning firm systems and technology tools used for case management
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent required; Paralegal certificate or ABA-approved credential a plus
- 2Florida Insurance Defense/Personal Injury Paralegal experience of 4 years required
- 3Prior experience with insurance defense and/or personal injury litigation preferred
- 4Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 5Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; comfort with technology and automation tools
- 6Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and time management skills
- 7Experience managing document discovery, subpoenas, and records collection
- 8Knowledge of federal court procedures and e-discovery processes
- 9Excellent calendaring and deadline-tracking abilities
- 10On-site, full-time work in Miami, Florida
