Overview
Stratus Team LLC seeks an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to lead instrumentation and controls engineering across diverse projects. This role focuses on front-end engineering and detailed design while coordinating with other disciplines. The ideal candidate will drive technical excellence and ensure robust system integration.
What You'll Do11
- 1Prepare instruments and control system specifications along with data sheets
- 2Review vendor drawings and collaborate with suppliers and clients
- 3Interface with multidisciplinary teams to align engineering requirements
- 4Develop P&IDs equipment specifications and logic diagrams
- 5Lead quality management initiatives for instrumentation deliverables
- 6Integrate control systems using DCS PLC SCADA and HMI platforms
- 7Specify and calculate field instruments and control valves
- 8Participate in risk management sessions such as HAZOP and LOPA
- 9Design Safety Instrumented Systems and Safety Integrity Levels
- 10Support Safety Instrumented Functions and functional specifications
- 11Communicate effectively within client and internal teams
Requirements10
- 1BSc in engineering with minimum of 10 years’ experience in instrumentation and controls engineering for petrochemical or oil & gas industries
- 2Ability to lead quality management of discipline work processes
- 3Experience with control systems including DCS PLC SCADA and HMI platforms
- 4Expertise in field instruments and control valve selection calculations
- 5Knowledge of design standards such as API NFPA ISA PIP IEC and IEEE
- 6Familiarity with Safety Instrumented Systems SIS SIF and SIL analysis
- 7Strong communication and team leadership abilities
- 8Previous consulting experience preferred
- 9Eligibility to obtain or hold a valid TWIC credential
- 10Preference for PE license with ability to register with NCEES

$120 - $140k per year
