Overview

What You'll Do15
- 1Work collaboratively with mixed-grade classroom teachers to support daily instruction and classroom routines
- 2Provide small-group and individual instructional support under teacher direction
- 3Reinforce literacy mathematics concepts and skills
- 4Support independent practice notebooking hands-on activities projects and other learning experiences
- 5Assist teachers in meeting diverse academic and developmental needs
- 6Facilitate small groups while the teacher works with another grade level
- 7Help students develop independence attention organization responsibility and productive habits
- 8Support access to classroom materials and participation in instruction
- 9Implement accommodations instructional supports and classroom interventions
- 10Provide additional support for clarification redirection organization and extra practice
- 11Observe student learning and communicate observations to teachers
- 12Support positive respectful classroom relationships and schoolwide expectations
- 13Assist with transitions arrivals dismissals lunch recess outdoor learning and field experiences
- 14Prepare organize and maintain instructional materials and learning spaces
- 15Participate in staff training and professional learning relevant to the position
Requirements11
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Ability to work effectively with elementary-aged students
- 3Strong communication organization and interpersonal skills
- 4Commitment to student confidentiality and professional boundaries
- 5Willingness to collaborate flexibly in a small-school environment
- 6Preference for associate's or bachelor's degree in education child development psychology or related field
- 7Previous experience with children in school childcare tutoring camp or educational settings
- 8Familiarity with Charlotte Mason philosophy or interest in learning about it
- 9Experience supporting literacy and mathematics instruction
- 10Experience as classroom aide instructional paraprofessional teaching assistant or substitute teacher
- 11Experience in elementary or mixed-grade classrooms
Salary Insight
