Instructional Designer - Manufacturing
Overview
Lead creation of learning solutions that enhance workforce capability and business performance. This role drives improvements in safety quality standardized work launch readiness productivity and operational performance across manufacturing settings.
What You'll Do11
- 1Advise manufacturing partners on adult learning principles and performance-based strategies
- 2Conduct needs analyses to identify gaps and recommend targeted interventions
- 3Partner with SMEs and stakeholders through interviews and observations
- 4Design learning experiences using ADDIE SAM and rapid prototyping methodologies
- 5Develop engaging practice-focused activities mirroring real manufacturing challenges
- 6Create multi-modal assets including eLearning ILT/VILT and simulations
- 7Write instructional materials and facilitate guides to translate technical concepts
- 8Collaborate with SMEs and LPMs to validate content and ensure alignment
- 9Manage agile projects to meet evolving manufacturing priorities
- 10Support LMS setup and integration of learning materials
- 11Translate complex technical content into performance-focused solutions
Requirements9
- 14+ years of instructional design curriculum development and eLearning experience
- 2Manufacturing or technical environments required
- 3WBT ILT VILT blended learning expertise needed
- 4Articulate Vyond Camtasia Adobe Creative Suite proficiency required
- 5Project management and stakeholder communication skills essential
- 6Manufacturing experience including plant operations or lean manufacturing
- 7Portfolio showcasing eLearning ILT and performance support tools
- 8Expertise in adult learning theory and scenario-based learning
- 9Ability to translate technical content into engaging solutions
