Installation Technician Job in San Francisco | RST Installations
Overview
You will own the full window treatment installation process for RST Installations, handling a daily route of residential and commercial projects across San Francisco. You will measure, install, and service blinds, shades, draperies, and shutters, working directly with big box retailers. The role demands punctuality, customer service, and technical precision, with training provided for the right candidate. This position offers $28–$30 per hour and the chance to work independently on the road.
What You'll Do8
- 1Measure and install all types of window treatments, including blinds, shades, draperies, and shutters, for residential and commercial clients.
- 2Manage a full daily route of measurement and installation appointments, ensuring on-time arrival and completion.
- 3Submit accurate measurement and installation reports to the office immediately after each job.
- 4Troubleshoot installation issues on site, applying analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure perfect fit and function.
- 5Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor and protecting customer property at all times.
- 6Read and interpret operation manuals, safety guidelines, and procedure documents to ensure safe and correct installation.
- 7Use basic math and measurement skills, including working with fractions up to 1/8 inch, for precise installations.
- 8Maintain a professional appearance and a clean driving record while operating company or personal vehicle for routes.
Requirements9
- 1Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- 2Ability to pass a background check and drug test (post-offer).
- 31+ years of construction or related field experience (preferred, not required).
- 4Experience with tape measures, simple calculations, and fractions up to 1/8 inch.
- 5Experience using power drills and other hand tools.
- 6Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- 7Punctuality and reliability in adhering to scheduled appointments.
- 8Ability to work independently and manage a daily route efficiently.
- 9High school diploma or equivalent.
