Inpatient RN Dialysis, Fresenius Nephrology Care & CAP Program
Overview
rn Inpatient RN for dialysis at Fresenius Kidney Care Phoenix onsite contract role supports patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned group of dialysis patients. Work within a kidney disease health care team to participate in decision making, education, leadership, and quality improvement. The role includes collaboration with supervisors, educators, and contracted facilities to ensure continuity of patient care and program operations. This position emphasizes hands on clinical practice, mentorship, and progression through the Clinical Advancement Program CAP 2.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and assess patient data before, during, and after dialysis and document findings in the medical record
- 2Direct and provide safe patient care for all modality specific treatments and adjust plans as indicated
- 3Coordinate with FKC and non FKC dialysis providers to ensure continuity of care and information flow
- 4Administer and monitor prescribed medications and transfusions and notify physician of adverse reactions
- 5Explain learning needs to patients and families and provide ongoing education
- 6Serve as a resource and mentor for new staff and may precept or train others
- 7Participate in emergency response procedures and quality improvement initiatives
- 8Complete CAP requirements to advance within the program
- 9May assist in outpatient facilities or give specialized nursing guidance to hospital staff
- 10Perform duties under supervision with guidance from Educator or Preceptor and ensure compliance with nursing standards
Requirements10
- 1Current state RN licensure
- 2CPR BLS certification
- 3Minimum 2 years nephrology nursing experience in the last 2 years or entry level CAP 2 pathway
- 4Acute dialysis experience preferred
- 5Must meet practice requirements in all employed states
- 6Fresenius Medical Care drug free workplace policy adherence
- 7Ability to perform heavy lifting and prolonged standing and travel to multiple facilities
- 8Ishihara Color Blindness test as a condition of employment
- 9Experience supervising patient care technicians and licensed practical nurses
- 10On call night weekend holiday rotation as program needs
