Outpatient Registered Nurse RN Cape 1 Clinical Advancement Program
Overview
Entry level RN CAP 1 clinical advancement program Las Vegas Nevada onsite payroll. Provide and coordinate clinically competent care assessment planning intervention evaluation for assigned ESKD patients delegate tasks to RNs LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians participate in decision making teaching leadership and quality improvement.
What You'll Do11
- 1Perform all essential functions under supervisor direction and clinical educator guidance
- 2Collect analyze and adjust patient data pre during and post hemodialysis treatment document in medical record notify team leader charge nurse supervisor physician as needed
- 3Assess patient and family learning needs provide initial and ongoing education collaborate with interdisciplinary team
- 4Direct safe effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy with direct and ancillary staff
- 5Administer medications according to algorithm document justification and effectiveness
- 6Initiate assist emergency response measures serve as resource for health care team participate in staff training and orientation
- 7Ensure correct laboratory collection processing and shipping reschedule missed collections
- 8Identify expected outcomes document nursing assessment and plan of care collaborate with interdisciplinary team
- 9Ensure patient awareness regarding transplant and treatment modality options
- 10Complete CAP requirements to advance
- 11Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements10
- 1Minimum 9 months RN experience
- 2Minimum 3 months chronic acute hemodialysis experience
- 3Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- 4Current state licensure
- 5CPR BLS certification
- 6Less than 2 years nephrology nursing experience
- 7Physical ability to lift 200 lbs move machines up to 30 lbs up to 5 feet
- 8Frequent prolonged standing bending over exposure to infectious diseases
- 9Ability to travel to training sites or other facilities
- 10Successful completion of FKC education and training requirements for new employees
