
Industrial Electrician, Water Treatment Plant
Overview
As an Industrial Electrician, you'll own the electrical installation and maintenance at a water treatment plant in Orlando, FL. You'll join a direct-hire team of 3+ electricians working 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday. This role stands out for its permanent placement and immediate start, with pay at $32-$36/hour based on experience. You'll work with 3-phase power, PLCs, and NEC standards to ensure plant reliability.
What You'll Do7
- 1Bend and run conduit, pull wire, and install light fixtures for plant systems
- 2Wire panels, terminate cables, and troubleshoot electrical faults in the first 90 days
- 3Install, assemble, and test electrical systems including transformers and breakers
- 4Diagnose issues using test equipment like multimeters and ohmmeters
- 5Inspect systems for NEC compliance and safety, recommending corrective actions
- 6Read blueprints and one-line diagrams to plan and execute installations
- 7Maintain PLC-controlled equipment and ensure proper grounding and bonding
Requirements9
- 13+ years of industrial and commercial electrical experience
- 2Ability to read blueprints and one-line diagrams
- 3Working knowledge of NEC and PLC systems
- 4Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- 5Proficiency with volt meters, ohmmeters, and test equipment
- 6Must have standard electrical hand tools
- 7Valid Class A CDL preferred, with water treatment experience a plus
- 8Eligible to work in the United States with reliable transportation
- 9Flexible to travel and work nights occasionally
