Independent Contractor Interpreter
Overview
Resolute Language Group seeks qualified Independent Contractor Field Interpreters to deliver accurate culturally appropriate confidential interpretation services across diverse settings. Interpreters will facilitate communication between English speakers and limited-English-proficient individuals in fields such as healthcare legal immigration education government community and business. This role offers flexible scheduling work from home opportunities with competitive pay rates.
What You'll Do8
- 1Provide consecutive interpretation between English and the assigned target language
- 2Accurately interpret spoken communication without adding omitting or altering meaning
- 3Maintain neutrality confidentiality and impartiality during all assignments
- 4Follow professional interpreter ethics and standards of practice
- 5Protect confidential and sensitive information including PHI in compliance with HIPAA requirements
- 6Maintain professional appearance punctuality and respectful communication
- 7Follow client-site rules policies and procedures
- 8Maintain appropriate role boundaries and avoid providing personal opinions advice or services outside scope
Requirements7
- 1Fluency in English and the assigned target language
- 2Strong verbal communication and listening skills
- 3Professional interpretation experience preferred
- 4Certification credentials or formal interpreter training preferred
- 5Experience in medical legal immigration educational or community interpretation highly preferred
- 6Knowledge of interpreter ethics confidentiality standards and professional practices
- 7Ability to maintain professionalism in sensitive high-stress situations
