In-Home Caregiver for Private 1:1 Care, Evenings & Weekends
Overview
You will provide dedicated 1:1 care for a woman in her home, ensuring her safety, comfort, and emotional well-being during evening and weekend shifts. Your work directly impacts her quality of life, with 12-hour shifts available on weekends. You will join a small, supportive team committed to personalized care. What You'll Do6
- 1Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support during evening hours from 3:30-7:00pm.
- 2Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and confidentiality.
- 3Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary.
- 4Support mobility using proper transfer techniques, including heavy lifting, to prevent injury.
- 5Document care provided, patient progress, and condition changes in compliance with healthcare standards.
- 6Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive, trusting environment.
Requirements7
- 11+ year of experience with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings like nursing homes or assisted living.
- 2Knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, vital signs, and first aid/CPR.
- 3Familiarity with care plans, dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, hospice, and home health services.
- 4Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely during transfers or mobility tasks.
- 5Strong communication skills for client interaction and coordination with healthcare professionals.
- 6Experience with autism or developmental disabilities highly desirable.
- 7Valid certifications in CPR, first aid, and HIPAA compliance required.
