In-Home Caregiver, Chapel Hill NC | Home Helpers
Overview
You will own personal care, safety, and companionship for seniors in Chapel Hill and Carrboro as part of our founding caregiving team. Working with a small, locally owned agency, you will support clients with bathing, dressing, medication reminders, meals, and light housekeeping. Our Cared-4 program focuses on whole-person care, not checklists, and you will build trusted relationships with consistent client assignments. We give you paid orientation, flexible scheduling, and support, with room to grow into senior roles as our client base expands.
What You'll Do8
- 1Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- 2Support walking, transfers, mobility, and prescribed exercises.
- 3Prepare meals and provide eating assistance when needed.
- 4Perform light housekeeping and laundry to maintain a safe, comfortable home.
- 5Remind clients to take medications (never administer).
- 6Provide companionship and meaningful conversation to improve emotional well-being.
- 7Observe and report changes in client condition to the care team.
- 8Document care provided in accordance with the care plan.
Requirements7
- 118+ years old.
- 2Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
- 3Ability to follow a care plan and document care.
- 4Patient, dependable, and kind; prior experience caring for a family member counts.
- 5Willing to complete background check, TB screening, and health clearance.
- 6Comfortable working independently in a client's home.
- 7CNA certification is welcomed but not required.
