Implementation Specialist, Healthcare IT & Revenue Cycle
Overview
You own end-to-end implementation of the NextGen Practice Management system across a network of 250+ surgery centers. You assess workflows, configure the system, train end users, and provide go-live support. You collaborate with Revenue Cycle teams and Business Operations Managers to tailor NextGen to each site. You also troubleshoot configuration issues and support Tier 2 requests. This role drives measurable revenue through ERA processes within 20 days of go-live. You work remotely with travel up to 50% to sites.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead full lifecycle implementations of NextGen PM for assigned ASCs and anesthesia entities, from requirements to go-live.
- 2Build and configure NextGen modules, including Document Scanning, Real Time Server, Background Business Processor, and Worklog/Tasking.
- 3Train internal staff and end users on NextGen workflows and features, both onsite and remotely.
- 4Create and update professional training materials and user guides for internal and external use.
- 5Collaborate with Revenue Cycle and Operations teams to optimize NextGen configuration for each site.
- 6Troubleshoot NextGen configuration and payer issues with vendors, EDI specialists, and payers.
- 7Perform system testing and resolve interface issues with ancillary products like Endoscopy Report and laboratory systems.
- 8Assess complex workflows and recommend configuration changes to meet regulatory and upgrade requirements.
- 9Monitor the Background Business Processor and ensure data integrity.
- 10Provide Tier 2 support to Service Desk and CBO staff for NextGen-related issues.
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor's degree or equivalent 4 years professional experience in healthcare.
- 22+ years direct use of NextGen Practice Management version 5.8 or higher.
- 3Thorough understanding of revenue cycle workflows in ambulatory surgery centers or medical practices.
- 42 years preferred in Practice Management training, or equivalent as Project Lead or Core Team member on EPM installs.
- 5Experience with EDI claims and billing processes, including CPT and ICD10 coding.
- 6Knowledge of regulatory requirements for 5010 and ICD10.
- 7Ability to travel 30-50% for site assessments and go-live support.
