Overview
You will own service delivery for Chick-fil-A restaurants across your local market, diagnosing and repairing commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment plus base building HVAC. You will coordinate with manufacturers and the Chick-fil-A Technical Assistance Team to resolve issues fast, with full autonomy in the field backed by Colliers' service network. This role focuses exclusively on Chick-fil-A sites, offering OEM training and a culture that rewards ownership. You will handle everything from sealed-system refrigeration to hot-side equipment like Henny Penny and Garland Grill.
What You'll Do10
- 1Diagnose and repair commercial kitchen equipment including Henny Penny fryers, Follett ice machines, Lennox HVAC units, Traulsen refrigerators, Hobart mixers, and Champion dishwashers.
- 2Service sealed-system refrigeration, specialty foodservice equipment, and base building HVAC to meet response times and SLAs for operator requests.
- 3Consult with the Chick-fil-A Technical Assistance Team while onsite and coordinate with manufacturers for diagnostic support and parts verification.
- 4Install ordered parts accurately and professionally, ensuring proper function and safety.
- 5Complete timely documentation of work orders, time, and receipts, and manage truck stock inventory using mobile service applications.
- 6Keep your service vehicle, tools, and parts organized to maintain readiness for next-day calls.
- 7Support on-call emergency response during non-standard hours, including extended periods during priority situations.
- 8Practice safe work procedures, including climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds, to prevent accidents.
- 9Pursue ongoing OEM training and certifications to stay current with equipment technology.
- 10Maintain productivity levels aligned with company standards while working independently in the field.
Requirements9
- 15+ years in a related trade or equivalent hands-on experience in commercial kitchen equipment service.
- 2Background in sealed refrigeration/HVAC systems, electrical systems, mechanical systems, process controls, hot-side cooking equipment, or mechanical power transmission.
- 3EPA Universal Certification for handling refrigerants.
- 4Valid state driver's license, proof of insurance, and safe driving record; ability to operate company vehicles.
- 5Strong mechanical aptitude, diagnostic ability, and schematic/diagram reading skills.
- 6Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and mobile service applications for documentation and routing.
- 7Clear written and verbal communication; self-starter who excels without direct supervision.
- 8Physical capability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in varying weather conditions.
- 9Willingness to travel 100% within a defined local market, with limited overnight travel for onboarding and training.
