Overview
The Field Service Technician ensures operational efficiency by diagnosing repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment refrigeration systems and HVAC equipment at client locations. This role drives preventative maintenance and service documentation while representing IMC professionally. It requires strong mechanical electrical troubleshooting skills and commitment to continuous improvement.
What You'll Do24
- 1Diagnose and repair commercial kitchen equipment such as fryers grills ovens and dish machines
- 2Service refrigeration systems including walk-ins reach-ins and ice machines
- 3Perform HVAC diagnostics and basic repairs like RTUs split systems and airflow systems
- 4Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective solutions
- 5Conduct scheduled maintenance on HVAC refrigeration and kitchen equipment
- 6Replace filters belts and standard wear components
- 7Inspect systems to prevent future failures and extend equipment lifespan
- 8Accurately document all service work diagnostics and repairs
- 9Record parts used and submit service reports promptly
- 10Maintain a professional appearance and communicate clearly with operators and staff
- 11Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines
- 12Handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA regulations
- 13Use proper PPE and maintain a safe work environment
- 14Manage service vehicle organization and keep commonly used parts stocked
- 15Ensure readiness for all service calls through efficient scheduling and time management
- 16Arrive on time manage service routes efficiently prioritize urgent requests and communicate delays proactively
- 17Complete work orders within expected timeframes
- 18Possess experience with commercial kitchen equipment HVAC or refrigeration systems
- 19Obtain EPA certification required for refrigeration work
- 20Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- 21Work independently and manage time effectively
- 22Communicate clearly with clients and team members
- 23Demonstrate accountability and ownership of service calls
- 24Commit to continuous improvement

- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons managing complex service operations
- 3EPA Certification for refrigeration work
