HVAC Technician - Facility Management at Arizona Christian University
Overview
The HVAC Technician will own and scale climate control systems across campus while supporting the university's Christian mission. This role combines technical expertise with faith-based service and offers opportunities for mentorship and discipleship within the facility management team.
What You'll Do9
- 1Perform routine preventative maintenance on campus HVAC/R equipment including motors bearings coils and filters
- 2Diagnose and repair malfunctions in heating air conditioning and ventilation units to maintain optimal temperatures
- 3Monitor and program Energy Management Systems and computerized building controls to enhance energy efficiency
- 4Plan layout and installation of new HVAC ductwork heating units and cooling systems during campus expansions
- 5Ensure compliance with EPA standards proper refrigerant handling and university safety policies
- 6Provide on-call after-hours support for critical HVAC emergencies in dormitories classrooms and campus buildings
- 7Support other duties with integrity and professionalism as directed
- 8Maintain comfort and familiarity with prayer practices supporting students faculty and staff from a biblical worldview
- 9Align with and enthusiastically support the university's Christian mission through annual Statement of Faith commitments
Requirements5
- 15+ years building HVAC experience with Spark and Airflow platforms
- 22-5 years working with EPA Section 608 Certification and related regulatory frameworks
- 3Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
- 4High school diploma or GED minimum education requirement
- 5Associate's degree or technical certification in HVAC maintenance preferred
