Overview

You will own diagnostics and repair on residential and light commercial AC systems, including RTUs up to 25 tons, across South Florida. You will join a Trane Comfort Specialist team with 40 years of service, working on a mix of maintenance agreements and new installations. You will drive a company van, use a company phone, and receive continuous training on the latest HVAC technologies. What You'll Do8

  • 1Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial AC systems, including RTUs up to 25 tons.
  • 2Perform routine maintenance calls, including cleaning coils, checking refrigerant, and testing controls.
  • 3Read and interpret wiring diagrams to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults.
  • 4Consult with customers on repair, upgrade, and replacement options, explaining trade-offs clearly.
  • 5Communicate diagnoses, recommendations, and invoicing details to both customers and the service manager.
  • 6Document all work performed using company software and ensure accurate inventory usage.
  • 7Coordinate with dispatchers to manage daily route efficiency and meet appointment windows.
  • 8Mentor apprentices on proper service techniques and safety protocols.

Requirements9

  • 13+ years experience as a service technician in residential and/or light commercial HVAC.
  • 2EPA Universal Certification required; NATE certification a plus (we provide training).
  • 3Knowledge of air balancing principles and techniques.
  • 4Certificate of completion from an HVAC Technical School preferred.
  • 5Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • 6Knowledge of Trane equipment a plus.
  • 7Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • 8High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 9Pass background check and drug test upon conditional offer.
