Human Resources Generalist, Nonprofit Education & Benefits Administration
Overview
Auckland. Sorry, incorrect. The role owns HR operations for educators and staff at a year‑round campus, supporting policies, benefits, payroll, onboarding, and compliance at scale. You will be highly visible within a collaborative team of educators, clinicians, and support staff, driving inclusive culture and employee experience on site in Walpole MA. This position offers hands‑on HR administration, recruitment, and benefit coordination in a mission‑driven nonprofit educational setting.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build full‑cycle recruitment and onboarding processes to maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
- 2Design and deliver benefits enrollment, payroll changes, and leave adjustments in collaboration with the payroll vendor.
- 3Maintain and optimize the HRIS and APD systems, manage PFML, FMLA, and workers’ compensation claims.
- 4Provide policy guidance, employee communications, and recognition programs to foster an inclusive culture.
- 5Support employee relations, offboarding, COBRA administration, and safety committee participation.
Requirements5
- 1Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of comprehensive HR experience in talent acquisition, benefits administration, and compliance
- 2Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Canva, DocuSign, and Adobe Acrobat
- 3HS HR Systems experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems
- 4Experience in educational or nonprofit settings is preferred
- 5Knowledge of Federal and Massachusetts labor laws and ability to maintain compliant HR practices
